TRUSTEES WANTED

Salford Red Devils Foundation are looking to recruit additional Trustees to join our experienced board and support the rapid growth of one of the UK’s leading sports club related charities. Registered Charity 1119133.

 

 

Working with more than 50,000 people each year across Salford, Greater Manchester and beyond delivering award winning sports, health and education based projects we are looking to find new trustees who feel they can add real value and support the growth we are experiencing.

 

In the last year alone the Foundation has helped dozens of people to stop smoking, raised awareness of the dangers of cancer, helped long term unemployed people back to work, introduced young people to sport and much more in and around some of the most economically and socially deprived areas of the UK.

 

Over the next 12 months the Foundation is looking to grow significantly and play an even bigger role in the community it operates from. Exciting times lie ahead for all connected with Salford Red Devils and this is an excellent opportunity for a like-minded individual to get involved and ‘put something back’.

 

We are an equal opportunities orientated employer and are inviting interest from individuals from any back ground to join the board in this voluntary capacity, which already has vast amounts of media, health, education and finance based experience. 

 

As a Trustee you would be expected to help support the Foundation and assist in its development using your experiences and networks. Formal attendance at quarterly board meetings at the AJ Bell Stadium is expected and you will be suitably recompensed for your attendance.

 

Candidates for this role should:

  • 1. Actively contribute to their trustees role in giving strategic direction to the Salford Red Devils Foundation

  • 2. Make an active contribution to the governance of the charity in accordance with charity law

  • 3. Provide guidance and support on new Salford Red Devils Foundation initiatives in which the trustee has special expertise

  • 4. Actively fundraise and source funds for the organisation

  • 5. Attend a quarterly trustees meeting and other foundation events

  • 6. Network on the behalf of the Salford Red Devils Foundation

  • 7. Actively seek to develop new partnerships

 

We are inviting individuals to register their interest with us by Monday 31st March. Please simply email the board of Trustees via Paul Snape with a covering letter indicating your experience and what you feel you can bring to the organisation.

 

You will then be invited to attend an informal event, which will showcase the Foundation’s work and allow an opportunity to meet existing Trustees and staff. This event will take place in the Foundation’s community facility on Wednesday 30th April at 7pm.
