An Evening of Rugby League Nostalgia
Join us for An Evening of Rugby League Nostalgia
Step back in time and join the Salford Red Devils Foundation for an evening of rugby league reminiscing.
Join us for a pie, pint and a play. A performance of “Playing The Joker” will be on offer.
Playing The Joker is a brand new smash hit rugby league play. Written by award winning author & Sunday Mirror journalist Anthony Clavane, Playing The Joker is about Eddie Waring’s attempt to give rugby league a national profile.
The play promises to bring gripping drama, songs and hilarious jokes. Examining the People’s game through the eyes of its voice – Eddie Waring – and its fans to ask whether Eddie was beneficial to the game or not.
In addition, we will also include a heritage quiz to test your knowledge and a complimentary Salford Heritage DVD, showing some of the best moments in Salford history.
To top off the evening, there will be a Q&A session with past players, allowing you to quiz them and find out more about the past of Salford.
Kicking off at 7pm on Tuesday 27th May at Oasis Academy Media City, the evening is set to be a great success.
